Robeson Community College staff  and faculty members recently attended a BOOST retreat in Jekyll Island, Georgia.  The retreat provided an opportunity for all colleges in the three state consortium (North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama) to gain valuable updates, network, and learn from each other.  The retreat focused on all that the grant has accomplished as well as milestones we must reach.  Interim Director, Amanda Leevan, stressed that as we enter our third year of the grant we must remained focus on our participants increasing learner and employment outcomes.  All were encouraged to sprint to the finish.  While, attending the training and learning about critical next steps Robeson Community College’s BOOST program was honored to receive recognition for collaborative efforts.  The program was recognized for having the best Workforce Collaboration based on existing partnerships with NC Works and the Lumber River Workforce Development Board.  We are so very thankful for the support of all of our employer partners.
